On the 16th of November 2014 the first eXXpedition set sail with a crew of 14 women across the Atlantic in search of answers relating the health of our environment to the health of our bodies. They found far more than they ever expected! The following year, a crew was assembled for Ascension 2015 to sail across the South Atlantic Ocean from Senegal to Brazil via Ascension Island. And Amazon 2015 sailed from Brazil to Guyana at the end of the year. Each voyage brought together an amazing multinational and multidisciplinary crew of women on the research missions to discover their role in tackling plastic pollution.
