eXXpedition’s co-founder Emily Penn has been appointed a Sky Ocean Rescue Ambassador. Sky Ocean Rescue was launched on the 24th January 2017 by broadcaster Sky, and aims to highlight challenges to ocean health, find solutions to ocean plastic and to encourage people to make positive changes in their own lives to protect our global waters.

Last year, Sky Ocean Rescue filmed a documentary that followed eXXpedition Round Britain‘s 28-day voyage looking at plastics and toxics in UK waters. Emily is co-founder of eXXpedition, which runs all-female sailing trips exploring the impact of plastic and toxic pollution all over the world. She is leading eXXpedition’s new voyage, North Pacific 2018, which will see 24 women sail from Hawaii to Vancouver to Seattle. You can find out more about the voyage here.
